Is there a Modrinth app for Android and iPhone?

Modrinth's own app is a desktop launcher for players. Ryntra is an unofficial, open-source app that brings the Modrinth creator dashboard to Android, iPhone, iPad and Mac: projects, versions, analytics, teams and notifications.

Is Ryntra an official Modrinth product?

No. Ryntra is an independent community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or maintained by Modrinth. It signs in with Modrinth OAuth and works through the public Modrinth API.

Is Ryntra free?

Yes. Ryntra is free to download and its source code is published on GitHub under the GPL-3.0 license.

How do I install Ryntra on an iPhone or iPad?

Ryntra is not on the App Store. Download the unsigned IPA, install it with Sideloadly from a Windows PC or Mac, then trust the developer profile in Settings and enable Developer Mode if iOS asks. iOS 16 or newer is required.

Does Ryntra run on Mac and Apple Vision Pro?

Yes. There is a native macOS app for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 14 or newer. Apple Vision Pro runs the iPad build in Designed for iPad compatibility mode.

Is my Modrinth account safe in Ryntra?

Ryntra signs in with Modrinth OAuth and stores tokens on your device in Android Keystore or the iOS Keychain. Optional instant notifications use a separate, limited relay authorization; your normal session token is never sent to the relay.

How does Ryntra update?

The app checks GitHub Releases for newer versions and opens the matching APK or IPA download for your platform when an update is available.
